You will be met by a guide who will explain the powhiri – formal Maori welcome process before escorting you on to the marae. Learn about the unique Maori carvings, tukutuku panels and rafters that adorn the marae. Each carving tells a story about the history of Hokianga and the people.

Experience a formal whakawatea - farewell from the marae.
